February was busy. We were creating a community centered around cause, and our goal was to help amplify the voices of people and groups working for a better future. We traveled, built relationships with organizations doing amazing work, and little by little, began to find our voice and place in the fight.

On February 24th, our team traveled to Washington D.C. to shoot photo and video for GW Dance Marathon, the largest student-run philanthropy at The George Washington University! We had a great time making miracles happen for the kids at Children’s National Health System. GW Dance Marathon reached a milestone of $500,000 raised in 5 years at Saturday's event. Check out some footage of our team contributing to this cause (above).

Why @powersocialx on social?

We believe in harnessing the power of communities’ collective social capital, hence the Power of the Social Exchange (PowerSocialX). When people from different sectors of society join forces, we are encouraged to communicate and discuss issues in new ways. By working with local nonprofits and small socially conscious businesses, we are helping previously unconnected groups come together to cultivate community and the spread of ideas. By providing free PR in the form of photo, video, community engagement and more, we are able to help organizations grow at higher rates than they have ever seen. From our work thus far, the result has been increased visibility for our partner organizations, increased fundraising amounts, and most importantly, a story worth telling. We look forward to continuing to develop meaningful relationships with non profits across the country, and soon the world. Stay tuned for cool things coming!
